Rebecca G. Stephenson, PT Rebecca Stephenson is a physical therapist and medical writer specializing in the fields of orthopedics and women's health. She is currently in clinical private practice at Stephenson Physical Therapy in Medfield, Massachusetts. Rebecca's publications include the textbook Obstetric and Gynecologic Care in Physical Therapy, second edition, many book chapters on women's health issues, and several home study modules for the Orthopedic and Women's Health Sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also the creator of the video "Back Care in Pregnancy."
Recipient of the Elizabeth Noble award from the Section on Women's Health, Rebecca is secretary and chief delegate from the United States for the International Organization of Physical Therapists in Women's Health, of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy. She lectures at both the regional and national levels. Rebecca is a graduate of Boston University and a certified childbirth educator, and is currently working on Master of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. She was the Barbara Adams Fellow in the post-Professional Physical Therapy program for 2002, and her thesis is on back support in pregnancy.
