A graduate of the Executive Coaching Academy, Laury has great expertise in identifying individuals' strengths and areas in need of development. She is a master at helping others to define their goals and take the steps necessary to achieve them. In motivating others toward change, Laury draws on her extensive background in psychology and creativity. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology and Spirituality in 1987 from the Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she researched the roles of emotional intelligence, meaning, and wellness in psychology. In addition, she has been certified as a Focusing Trainer, Art Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Laury is on the faculties of Lesley University and Cambridge College in Cambridge, Mass., and has taught both nationally and internationally for over 25 years. Her previous positions include Academic Coordinator of Lesley's International Expressive Arts Therapies programs, Co-Executive Director of Spring Hill Institute (a nonprofit training and development facility), and Director of the Core Studies Program at Interface (a holistic educational center in Watertown, Mass.). She received the awards of Who's Who of American Women in 1987 and Who's Who in 2000.
