For many years Jennifer worked with clients who had suffered traumatic violence. Today trauma is all too common in our society, as people experience the effects of terrorism, world economic changes, job insecurity, personal losses, and social and family violence. Jennifer's experience in this area has given her a deep understanding of what it takes for human beings — body, mind, and spirit — to overcome adversity and thrive both personally and professionally. The partnership that Jennifer forms with her clients helps them leverage their dissatisfaction to facilitate growth, increase effectiveness, promote new interpretations, and create positive and lasting change. She engages each person in a unique collaboration that fosters creativity, flexibility, a positive mood shift, and a rapid acceleration of the learning process. The combination of these factors provides opportunities for dramatic growth and learning not available through other programs. Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, a master's degree in Applied Psychology in Marriage, Family, and Systems Therapy, and a Master Certification in Somatics (the result of more than a decade of study with Richard Strozzi Heckler in the art of Somatics and Ontological Coaching). She has also worked extensively with Marsha Shenk, Founder of the BestWork Community. Jennifer has practiced Vipassana meditation since 1993 and has studied yoga since 1994. These practices, along with her unending fascination with the journey of the human being, strongly inform the way in which she partners with people. The application of all of these disciplines, within the unique structure of partnering, accelerates the development of leadership skills that are sustainable over a lifetime.
